Game Brief

A darkly comedic web series about a few sentient robots that continue to toil in the darker places of an unknown and abandoned lab. They continue to function without ever knowing that the world outside has perished. In their efforts to maintain the lab, they encounter the menacing and mysterious CORE systems that govern the systems of the lab and learn of its secret

Overview

Challenge

Developing a darkly comedic web series that balances humor with philosophical themes.

Opportunity

Getting to work in a team of multiple writers and helping create a 3D web series.

Background

For this project, I worked closely with a team of writers to develop pilot pitches that aligned with the creative direction set by the lead. Once the concept was chosen, I helped write an ad promo script introducing one of the starring robots. The script was written to reflect the humor and style inspired by works like Portal 2.

I also helped develop themes that explored concepts such as “what it means to be human,” interwoven with the the central story of two robots who, over the course of the series, unravel the mysterious CORE systems that govern the abandoned labs.
